This is a good thread that should be revived.
Sepultura - Were a fantastic band that showed the English speaking world that you didn't have to be American or British to have a worldwide following. And then their frontman left, and things went down from there. They are now a shadow of their former selves, making shitty industrial crap that comes off as a **** NIN clone with more screams.
Korn - Were also fantastic for 4 albums, and then they lost their soul and disappeared into the ether of mediocrity. They should take a break and learn how to write good songs again.
I could say Machine Head, but they turned good again so they don't count.

Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Stadium Arcadium was okay I suppose, but definitely nothing to write home about. Their new album is not worth listening to at all though.

Talk Talk definitely sold out. They used to be about radio friendly pop; but then they went mainstream and made artsy progressive ****.

That's nonsense. Stravinsky shined brightly till the very end. After Schönberg's death, he finally decided to try his take on dodecaphonism and it was beautiful. It was a milestone for Russian composers, who had a lot of catching-up to do in terms of composing because of their complete indifference to the more European set of traditions at that time. Stravinsky is much more than just his ballets from the early work.
