This guy deserves a thread. He made some really good videos on a number of gaming series. Here's the link to his videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/broadcaststsatic/videos

some examples I enjoyed (iirc)

What a pretentious load of ****. He says the game is one of the very few stealth games he likes, at the start, yet does absolutely nothing to justify it, throughout. He spends nearly the whole duration, talking about the art design, architecture and (overpraising) the story, while sounding like he said swallowed a thesaurus. Even Campster isn't this pretentious

He literally spends the first few minutes talking about why he likes it; how is this confusing

He talks about what he likes about it, but it has nothing to do with stealth. He talks about the artwork almost immediately after mentioning that he doesn't like stealth games. He throws around some buzzwords as well, but never elaborates on them. He elaborates on the level design, but only in the sense of natural it feels, rather than how it's design actually accommodates the stealth gameplay. He vaguely touched on the offensive options, but said nothing of the sneaking. His writing style in general, is all over the place. He drifts from one thing to another, and shows no cohesion.

Also, who censored my use of the word '****'?

Yeah I don't care for much of his stuff at this point, imho. He hardly talks about the games, really, and tries to connect everything to some piece of American literature he read. It's all so cheesy. It's almost as bad as that Allosaurus guy (does he still do stuff?) in that respect. Also, Jesus Christ that community. At some point I'm pretty sure I read "Oh, a new review by Noah! Let's cosy up for two hours, drink a glass of Chardonnay and listen to Noah's new review.". lol

I was glad to see at least one guy in the comments of the video, point out that Dishonored isn't a proper stealth game. But of course he was chastised by people who apparently "knew better". It seems all these YouTubers who dance around the games they're supposed to be talking about, with big words and pseudo intellectual babble, garner much bigger fan bases than those who actually talk about the games in-depth, like Novacanoo

It's possible to like stealth games for reasons other than the stealth.

Which makes sense in this case, because by traditional stealth standards Dishonored is trash.

Yeah, Dishonored really isn't a stealth game. It's only a partial stealth game. He could have made it clear that he prefers games where stealth is only an option, but he didn't. And even if he did, the video would still be ****, due to the other reasons I mentioned. I watched his Doom video a few months back, and thought that was decent enough at the time. But I'm not sure if I'd like it if I rewatched it now. His videos reveal more cracks and pretentiousness over time.
