Be concerned about that instead.

I have decided to buy a Sharkoon Fireglider mouse. It looks god-awful, but it's a 20 Merkel high quality mouse and I don't want to spend more money on a mouse. It's supposed to be a real insider's tip. It's a pity that the black version without the stupid fire decoration isn't wireless, so I will have to buy the wireless one with the fire stuff.

Some sort of Microsoft mouse would be best.

You already suggested the Intellimouse. It looks terribly aged and ergonomically inferior, imho. Some of them came out in 2004 and they're still selling them for 90 Merkels, which might speak for the quality, but I am not comfortable buying a 50-90 Merkel mouse that's 9 years old, imho.

There aren't many ambidextrous mice now.

This probably explains why you prefer these very straight, symmetric mice, imho. I am not handicapped, though!

Microsoft does lots of other mice and they're quite cheap.

Well, the Sharkoon Fireglider is the best in its price range. I haven't even seen one Microsoft mouse during my research that competes with these mice.

Yeah, it doesn't, but the reviews are solid. It's a 20 Merkel mouse whose direct competitors cost around 35-90 Merkels.

I want wireless, because I will die if I have even one more cable to deal with on my desk. The wires are also staining my white wall.

...on the other hand: I don't want to invite girls over and have this mouse:

It's the tribal tattoo of mice. It looks atrocious.

This, on the other hand, is okay.
